You will need a good cutting tool to score in the crosswise slits where you insert the walker leg; it's too tough for your household scissors, but that's just the point, right? It's tough. The color is good so that you can see it better in the dark, but I would not say these balls are worth the price. Update 2023-12: After posting my review the seller contacted me and provided me with two free sets of balls as an apology for the bad quality of the original set. So far these are holding much better with my dog and she loves to play fetch with them.
