The message peg is cold forged from super tough 7075 t6 alloy and then cnc machined internally and externally to remove material where it's not needed. I bought this set with low expectations to replace my OEM grill which was falling apart and getting loose. I thought, not much to lose. They actually turned out to fit and look great. Just one tip-- when installing, be sure that you are correctly positioning the tension clips to be in contact with the end of the hood notch. There are a lot of Youtube guides you can find online to help you with it. Otherwise, they will just be totally loose and not fit correctly.
