WWII U.S. M-1 Helmet Liner Headband by L. & N. Specialties Named to "Ed Haiflich"Description This original WWII U. S. M 1 helmet liner headband was produced by L. & N. Specialties. It is twice marked with the original owner's name, an apparent "Ed Haiflich". A search of the National Archives unfortunately did not reveal a match. The hardware is green painted steel, approximately dating the headband's production from mid 1942 to late 1943. It exhibits third pattern spring clips, which have a fold in the metal's bottom edge. Very nice size I spray painted to get the color I wanted came out beautiful. It’s a light weight. It dropped and cracked open but I will use super glue to hold it together. Still looks nice just weathered. It could’ve cost less.
