We bought this after my husband's heart surgery, and the doctors wanted him to sleep in an elevated position for a few weeks. Before this, he was just stacking some pillows behind his neck, which did not get him a comfortable night's rest. His first night using this was a game changer for him. It was the first time he was able to sleep through the night. It was just the right height, and just the right level of soft/firm.
