This piece, identified on its base as "L. D. 56", was originally modeled in 1941 by Goebel Porzellan GmbH's master sculptor, Arthur Mller, whose signature is found at the rear. Beneath the "L. D. 56" marking is a crown over an interlaced "WG", denoting the company's founder, William Goebel. This particular marking is Goebel's earliest trademark, utilized from 1934 to 1950. A

These books are great books and are filled with tons of mammal, animal, and insect facts. However, after buying several, I realized I was buying the wrong books. This is because we wanted the bracket based “who would win” books. They are the best ones! Apparently, the bracket-based books have “rumble” in the title. The pictures will show the difference. There are only two rumble books, 1 of which will be released Oct 7th.
