The flap is un sprung with a neoprene backing to both prevent drafts and reduce (when in use) noise. The fixing pins are countersunk, to sit flush with the tidy frame and avoid hitting the inside flap. (N. I purchased the cotton stretch Briefs for my husband and he says they are not only comfortable, but have a great fit. He’s very athletic and complained about how some of his briefs would shift when running or other activities. These do not! The fabric breaths and stays cool, and no chaffing.
