So bad it’s hard to believe

I bought this to see the story about the half-jaw white elite, one of my favorite characters. In that regard it was fantastic. That story and its art are epic. The next two stories were HORRENDOUS. The middle two stories truly look like they were drawn by talented 8th graders. The dialogue is cringe for the second story and the third story is wordless. There are also resolution issues throughout. Pictures don’t really get across just how UGLY the middle two stories are. The fourth and last story looks like an actual professional artist did it, but I’m too traumatized to try to read it. The foreword is insufferable and irrelevant and the end of the book is filled with fan art that is not quite charming in a book I paid money for.

It even goes into detail about Comrades. The art from the competition Illustrations. It’s my favorite page. I hope other people learn a few things from it like I did. It’s great for a collector and such a pretty book. Worth it! Buy it. Would buy this again!
